Charity Work
Quantum Advisory is keen to support a variety of causes and does so by providing sponsorship to local and national charities. Any amounts raised by employees are matched by the Firm.
Quantum also values the importance of volunteering and supports staff to volunteer within their local community by providing paid time off.
Tŷ Hafan

Quantum Advisory is a longstanding supporter of Tŷ Hafan, one of the UK's leading paediatric palliative care charities. Tŷ Hafan provides emotional and practical support to parents and siblings, helping to create special memories, offering comfort and respite at the hospice and in the homes of the families or in hospital, all done completely free of charge. One of Quantum Advisory's first fund raising projects won them an engraved bronze apple which was placed on the charity's commemorative Gift Tree at the hospice in recognition of reaching their ‘pay for a day goal’ of £11,000.
Since then, we have raised over £30,000 for the charity. Past events have included the Race to the Stones challenge, exceeding our £5,000 goal, a fundraising ball in 2018, quiz nights, office sweepstakes, bake-offs, participating in football tournaments and taking part in Tŷ Hafan’s Christmas pantomime.

In 2023, some colleagues were proud to be participants in Tŷ Hafan’s Christmas panto. We were presented with our own “leaf” on the Tŷ Hafan Gift Tree in recognition of all the sponsorship raised by colleagues over the past eight years.

Over the past few years, Quantum has held a number of quiz and skittles nights for colleagues and friends to raise funds - each time exceeding expectations.

In September 2024, Team Quantum participated in Tŷ Hafan’s Football Fives tournament and raised £3,000 for the children’s hospice charity.
The Firm rallied together to enter two teams and after standout performances amid tough competition, one of Quantum’s teams celebrated success and won the event.
Stuart Price, Actuary and Partner at Quantum Advisory, said:
“We had a fantastic time at Tŷ Hafan’s Football Fives tournament this year. It was wonderful to see so many businesses coming together to raise funds for this incredible cause and thank you very much to those individuals that sponsored us, all the support is warmly received.
“Tŷ Hafan’s work is life changing and we are proud to have been supporting them for almost a decade. I would encourage anyone to find out more about Tŷ Hafan if you have not already and get involved with their next fundraising event.”
Sorrel Mayo, Corporate Senior Fundraiser at Tŷ Hafan, said:
“When a child’s life will be short, Tŷ Hafan will walk alongside their family every step of the way – through life, death and beyond. We were delighted to see so many teams at our Football Fives fundraising tournament to help us to be able to do this.
“Quantum Advisory’s fantastic fundraising has contributed to this year’s event raising almost £15,000 which is truly incredible, and we are also extremely grateful to them for their ongoing support and enthusiasm.

On 16 March 2018 around 180 colleagues, clients and friends of Quantum came together for a Black-tie Dinner to raise money for Tŷ Hafan. Welsh Rugby Union legend Paul Thorburn was the host for the evening, with superb jazz band Big Macs Wholly Soul Band as lead entertainment.
The glamorous evening was a great success and we were able to raise a fantastic £10,000 through a sell-out balloon raffle and lively auction!
Other fundraising activities
In June 2023, ten intrepid walkers donned their hiking boots, battled blisters and the heat to take part in the Cotswolds Way Ultra Challenge, walking 50km for the British Heart Foundation and raising over £3,500!
The walk took approximately 12 hours to complete, starting at 9:00am and ending late into the evening.
Quantum Advisory organised a fundraising five a side tournament in July 2024 to raise funds for Matthew Collins’ brain cancer treatment.
Quantum Advisory came through some tough group matches to be crowned as the winners of the inaugural “Matthew Collins Kick Cancer’s Head In Cup”.
Thank you to all the teams who competed and helped raise over £5,000 for Matthew’s treatment.

City Hospice
Quantum participated in the City Hospice’s Forever Flowers at one of Cardiff's most iconic locations, Cardiff Castle. The campaign provides an opportunity for the community to celebrate and remember the lives of their loved ones.

Wales Air Ambulance
It was Christmas in July at Wales Air Ambulance HQ. The Quantum volunteers donned their festive knits, hats and antlers to help sort out cards for the charity's annual Christmas Card campaign.

Over the last two years, runners from the Firm have pounded the pavements in the Cardiff Half Marathon which attracts 29,000 participants. In 2023, we raised £3,400 for Parkinsons UK. In 2024, we raised over £5,000 for Dementia and earned the second highest Top Team Fundraisers trophy among all corporate teams.

Christmas Jumper Days
It wouldn't be Christmas without the firm celebrating Christmas jumper days and raising money for good causes in the process such as AgeUK, the Alzheimers Society and Children in Need.

Macmillan Coffee Mornings
Quantum offices take part in the annual National Macmillan Coffee mornings by "baking and bringing" and sharing sweet treats in the office.
Pride
Every year Quantum celebrates Pride Month in support of the LGBTQ community to show that we have an environment where people are valued, and we welcome differing opinions, views and cultural perspectives.
