Quantum Advisory, the leading independent financial services consultancy, today announced it has become a signatory to the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) UK Stewardship Code (the “Code”). The Code, which is voluntary to undertake, represents £52.3 trillion assets under management and seeks to uphold best practice for those investing money on behalf of UK savers and pensioners. It includes 297 signatories of which QAS join an elite group of just 21 service providers in the UK.
The FRC states its mission as “to promote transparency and integrity in business”. It sets the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes and UK standards for accounting and actuarial work; monitors and takes action to promote the quality of corporate reporting; and operates independent enforcement arrangements for accountants and actuaries.
Jayna Bhullar, Senior Investment Consultant and Head of ESG at Quantum Advisory said: “As a high-quality service provider, we play a vital role in helping our clients and network fulfil their stewardship responsibilities, and we ensure we maintain the right culture, processes, and team to do this effectively.
“We’ve always been dedicated to this area, so it’s especially rewarding to have an independent third-party review confirm that our policies and processes are best in class. The Code’s standards are extremely high, and we’re thrilled to have met them. This recognition reflects the expertise and credibility of the team at Quantum and we’re proud to be part of the prestigious group of signatories.”
